Who is MidSouth Band?
MidSouth Band is a leads the pack in the positive Christian country music genre that started in the 90’s. But that was not the beginning. As a gospel group, they have been popular on the Southern circuit for over 20 years. After a few original members left in 1984, their style evolved with the fresh perspective of new band members.

1989 Down to Earth was nominated by the Gospel Music Association for Country Album of the Year
1992 Shoulder to Shoulder received a Grammy nomination for Country Gospel Album of the Year
1994 Debuted on the Warner Alliance label Give What It Takes; an eponymous release followed in 1996.
Kenny started playing with MidSouth in July 2024 as a sub when their guitar player isn’t available. We’ve known two of the guys in MidSouth for 20+ years and we used to attend the same church as them. We are members at a different church now. We were so happy when Bobby Bowen and his family became members at United Church, too.
